Kids can have a blast with all the games and workshops packed in, such as candle and card making, or try their skating skills at the ice skating rink. There will also be a magic show and fire limbo on day one and a puppet show on day two. Even better is that they get to meet and click photographs with Santa, well before Christmas.
The band Rockin Railroad will play for kids. One can indulge in retail therapy as well, at the shopping section that offers jewellery, books and clothes. Twelve NGOs have also set up shop here. One can also donate toys that will then be distributed to various NGOs. Day two is racing day and visitors to the fest are advice to follow strict formal dress code.
If you’re wondering why a Christmas festival has been organised nearly a month in advance, the organisers tells us that this festival has been a hit among the city’s expats who’ve been attending it every year. And, with Christmas season in the air, especially with friends and family back in their home countries, it made sense to ring in the festivities early on.
