Ashna Dhanuka, a certified life coach by profession, is one of those frontline change-makers who is helping people change the way they see themselves
The narrative around body positivity isn’t something new. For many decades, certain body types and sizes have been considered ideal or most acceptable by society. In this age of social media, people often set unrealistic body standards for both men and women. What happens when people fail to fit in this so-called ‘ideal body type’ criteria? It can lead to poor mental health, low confidence, general dissatisfaction in life and often unhealthy eating habits.
Ashna Dhanuka, a certified life coach by profession, is one of those frontline change-makers who is helping people change the way they see themselves. She is guiding people to build their confidence by accepting their own bodies while challenging how society views them. “The key here is to look beyond the mirror and love who you are as a person. Only once you do that, can you start being more.”-Ashna Dhanuka
As she celebrates her birthday today, Ashna also shares the importance of self-love and self-confidence. She believes it is essential to appreciate, respect and accept the uniqueness of our bodies. When we understand how society and popular culture affects what we think of our bodies, we can develop a healthier and realistic relationship with our body. If we learn to love ourselves, no one can make you feel inferior or less. Self-love can take you a long way. It is in fact the pillar for leading a healthy life.
Ashna coaches people to accept the beauty and flaws of oneself with grace and respect. She believes when people try to be someone that they are not, it can lead to a place of frustration, stress and anger. As a certified life coach, she has helped many people transform their lives and discover their hidden potential. “There is a superpower that each one of us possesses, it is being yourself. If you want to discover this superpower, I am here for you”, says Ashna Dhanuka.
Ashna believes that our goal must be to stay mentally and physically healthy and in the process of achieving this goal, we should not forget to love and care for our body along the way. She urges people to come forward and change the way they think, live and perceive themselves. We cannot be burdened by the way society thinks, all we can do is be the best ver-sion of ourselves and give life the best we have got.
About her newest project as a producer, Ashna has musically inspired people via her recent collaboration with Bollywood singer-songwriter Thomson Andrews, on their latest pop motivational number ‘Badlega Ye Waqt’, released on Music Label ‘Throan Of Art Mu-sic’, a song to inspire people during these tough times. “I wanted to motivate people and give them some mental relief through music. ‘Badlega Ye Waqt’ represents a message that if we stick together and appreciate the people around us, our future will be bright.” - Ashna Dhanuka.
It is an apt motivational message that people can relate to, during the pandemic. The song has already crossed a million views on youtube, with hundreds of Instagram reels & Remixes made by youngsters. To bring Ashna’s vision to life, singer-songwriter Thomson Andrews put on his musical hat once again. The talented musician has utilized his creative mastery and composed an in-spiring, peppy, foot tapping dance melody that does complete justice to the inspirational message. Thomson not only sang and composed the song but also brought in some no-table industry names to make this track the incredible song and music video it is.
