We have heard of the film industry following stereotypes whether it comes to looks or stories, and in this world full of typicals, meet Himanee Bhatia, a delhi based actress with a different story and beauty. Himanee is a graduate from Delhi university’s Sri Venkateswara College, and excelled in extra curriculars such as dance, theatre and debating along with studies.

She landed a job in one of the world’s top four audit firms, KPMG. After two years of working in the company and a promotion later, Himanee realised her childhood dream of becoming an actress never really left her. She continued doing theatre during her days as a corporate consultant and did modelling jobs here and there. She also styled for her shoots and thanks to her corporate training did marketing for her own shoots.
Her Eureka moment came to her when her short film ‘Act normal' , on the topic of mental health did exceptionally well and got her appreciation from all over the world. Over 20,000 views within the first week of the release, Himanee realised the power of the craft to change and impact lives for the better. She then took the bold step and decided to say goodbye to the corporate world and started acting full time. “I was always told I am beautiful and have a star like quality in an unconventional way, so whenever people needed an actress with unconventional beauty, they picked me” giggles Himanee. In an industry with otherwise straight haired beauties, Himanee’s curly hair and pouty lips stands out beautifully.
She was the first female actor to work in Hindustan Times first ever webseries called Neighbour’s kitchen as the lead actress. Post that she got her rightful due and became an overnight known face. She landed jobs in Netflix’s Decoupled and Eternally confused and eager for love. She then started working with brands such as Filter Copy, Canon, Wakefit mattresses, Spotify and Doctor dreams mattresses. She landed modelling jobs with Amazon fashion and Jalsa Exhibition. Her hosting career took off when she hosted her first big name, Paatal lok fame Abhishek Banerjee. Currently, Himanee has ventured into script writing as well.
