E'x'perience attracts
First and foremost, it's the experience (of all sorts) that attracts men to older women.u00a0 According to Dr Megha Hazuria Gore, clinical psychologist, Max Healthcare, "Since older women have more experience, they are considered to be wiser at everything than their younger counterparts. This is the key reason that strikes a chord between a male and an older female."
Explaining further, Megha says, "Rather than caring, men like to be taken care of by others. Since older women are more supportive and balanced emotionally, the love quotient is high. A striking contrast can be seen in couples where both are the partners are of the same age u2014 they're more prone to emotional tussles."
Complementing this inclination, older women are attracted to young men because they are physically fitter in shape and more promising than older men.
Says Dr Pallavi Barthakur Gillani, counsellor, Relationshipforever.com, "If a woman is with a younger man, she, too, starts feeling young. A young man makes her feel needed and wanted."
Flipside
Like in most cases, there are two sides to the coin. "First of all, a guy should be ready to accept an older woman and vice versa. Then they should be ready to face the society, which will poke fingers at them. If they face the tide successfully, there is nothing that can separate them," concludes Megha.
