My girl can't make up her mind

Dear Diana,
I met this girl about two months ago. Prior to our meeting we knew each other through Facebook. We liked each other and got very close and kept in touch regularly. After a few weeks we felt we were in love and expressed our feelings and hung out together on weekends. Often she would not come to meet me and say she was scared of her mother or that she was confused about our relationship and wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Then she told me that she did not want to continue the affair as she thought that I was very serious and she wasn't as serious. Therefore we decided to go slow. Now she says that things won't work and it will be tough. I really love her and and want to be with her. What can I do to make her stay? Please help.

Dear Friend,
My dear, your girl is one helluva confused soul. It is clear that she is oscillating between a yes and no in the relationship. She wants you and at the same time does not. Saying that she is scared of her mom is an excuse. Both of you'll are adults and can take decisions accordingly. You have to take time out and sit with her and explain where you'll stand in the relationship. Tell her you feelings and say that you have been honest and forthright, so why is she holding back her feelings? To be in love is not a crime. Your girl is young and does not seem to know how to handle things. If you know a friend of hers well, tell her to knock sense into her. But be patient, meanwhile continue to woo her, she will one day fall hook, line and sinker for you.

My hubby is clueless about the daily home grind

Dear Diana,

I am a housewife. My hubby is a travelling salesperson. He is out for at least twou00a0 weeks every month. Due to the nature of his job, he has no clue about the household running or our eight-year-old daughter's studies. That's my responsibility alone. Shouldn't he be more aware of the household running?

Dear BT,

You ask the question and you give the answer too! His job is such that it involves constant travelling, so obviously he can't be as involved as you in the daily running of the household. When he is in town, make him aware of what's happening at home and on your daughter's school front. Even when he is away, you can stay in touch via phone and inform him about the daily happenings. There is nothing to fret about, remember there are several people in such a situation.

Is he serious about me?

Dear Diana,

I have been going around with this guy for three years. He is 28 and I am 26. Heu00a0 says he cares for me and loves me but when I talk about taking our relationship to the next level, he says that he cannot think of marriage till his sister (who is 24) ties the knot. Also, he says he has not yet told his parents about our relationship. Should I trust this guy? Or is he just doing time pass with me?

Dear Pinky,
Three years is a long time to be in a relationship and still not think about where it is going to. It is difficult to say when his sister will get married. You have to give him a time frame ufffdu00a0 say six months from now to make up his mind. There is no such thing that a guy can't marry till his sister marries. These rules have been made by him alone. If he is serious about you, he will make up his mind. If not, get the hint ufffdu00a0 he is indeed whiling the time away with you.
