There are some things guys cannot bring themselves to tell family members. It probably could have something to do witha misplaced sense of ego, or possibly, that he simply forgot. It could be a slight, but it could drive a wedge between the two of you if he doesn't come clean soon enough.

I am 24, a banker and single. I broke up with my last girlfriend a few months back and she went on to have a relationship with another guy soon enough. I moved on too, got over her, and tried looking for love, or companionship from girls I knew and befriended, but it didn't work out. I'm sure I'm doing the right things (I have been in a relationship after all). Is it too soon after a failed relationship?

It depends what you shared while it lasted. If it was expendable, there was probably nothing to salvage (in her case). Maybe, you invested more in the relationship than she did. Not to say that you didn't try. Maybe, the girls you met (and befriended) found nothing in common and decided not to venture into anything more complicated than a friendship. Too soon? Could be you trying to get over her, but that is something only you'd really know.
