The usual way of eating Maggi noodles is loved by millions of children as well as youth across the country. Despite controversies over the noodles and its tangy tastemaker masala, Nestle's Maggi has remained an all time favourite quick-to-cook snack. The economical ‘2-minute noodles’ is the mecca of every food experimentalists. Be it adding cheese and vegetables to Maggi or stuffing the noodles inside chapattis to make Maggi rolls, there are many unique ways of eating the food item. Here are 5 different ways to eat Maggi, all of which keeps the noodles '2-minute USP' intact.

Maggi pakoda:

Ingredients:
• Maggi noodles
• Onions
• Green chillies
• Turmeric powder
• Cumin powder
• Red chilli powder
• Maggi tastemaker masala
• Gram flour/besan
• Oil
• Water
• Salt

Method:
• Place water in a pot. When the water starts to heat up, add Maggi noodles and the tastemaker masala.
• Cook the noodles for two minutes and take it down in a bowl. Make sure the noodles do not melt, there is no gravy and it stays a bit hard and dry.
• In a bowl add water in right proportion, gram flour, chopped onions, chopped green chillies, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder.
• Mix these ingredients together and make a fine thick batter.
• Add the boiled Maggi, mix the batter once again and make medium sized balls.
• In the meantime heat refined oil in a wok on medium flame.
• Put the balls (pakodas) on the heated oil and deep fry till they turn golden brown.
• Serve on a plate and eat the crispy Maggi pakodas with tomato chilli ketchup.

Maggilet (Maggi omelette)

Ingredients:
• Maggi noodles
• Maggi tastemaker masala
• Egg
• Onion
• Green chillies
• Capsicum
• Tomato
• Salt
• Pepper
• Red Chilli powder

Method:


• Heat water in a pot and boil Maggi noodles and add tastemaker masala to it.
• Cook for two minutes and pour it down in a pot. Ensure that the boiled Maggi is absolutely dry and not over-cooked.
• Take a bowl and mash an egg finely. Add chopped onions, chopped green chillies, salt, pepper and red chilli powder to make a fine mixture.
• Heat refined oil in a pan and grease the pan completely.
• Pour the egg batter on it and let the lower side get fried properly.
• Place the cooked Maggi on the omelette and enclose it from both sides.
• Take two spatulas and gently flip the omelette to the other side and fry it till it turns golden brown and the corners turn crispy.
• Place it on a plate and serve hot with ketchup or mayonnaise.

Maggi Cheese Sandwich:

Ingredients:
• Brown/white bread
• Maggi noodles
• Maggi tastemaker masala
• Plain cheese
• Butter
• Pepper
• Chopped green chillies

Method:
• Add water to a pan and pour the Maggi once the water is heated up.
• Add Maggi tastemaker masala, chopped green chillies and pepper to give a spicy taste.
• Pour the Maggi in a bowl once it is cooked. Ensure that the cooked noodles is dry and fine.
• Add butter in a pan and toast the bread slices.
• Bring it down on a plate and spread plain cheese all over on bread slice.
• Place the Maggi on that slice and put the other slice on top on it.
• Put the Maggi stuffed bread in a sandwich maker.
• Bring it out once the sandwich is made and eat with tangy tomato ketchup.

Maggi-Veggie Grilled Tikki

Ingredients:
• Maggi
• Boiled potatoes
• Bread crumps/biscuit powder
• Coriander leaves
• Onions
• Carrots
• Green chillies
• Ginger garlic paste
• Salt
• Red chilli powder
• Chat masala

Method:
• Boil the Maggi, drain the water and keep the noodles aside in a bowl.
• Prepare a mixture of smashed boil potatoes, chopped green chillies, chopped tomatoes, chopped coriander leaves, shredded carrots and onions.
• Add ginger garlic paste, salt and red chilli powder to the vegetable mixture.
• Add the cooked Maggi to the mixture and shape it into flat balls.
• Gently, but thoroughly dip the flat Maggi tikkis in bread crumps/biscuit powder for crispy texture.
• Grease a tikki pan or the Microwave grill stand with refined oil.
• Grill the balls until they turn brown and crispy with fine grill lines.
• Sprinkle chat masala on top and serve with coriander chutney.

Maggi Dosa

Ingredients:
• Dosa batter
• Maggi
• Onions
• Curry leaves
• Carrots
• Green peas
• Fresh coconut powder
• Whole black mustard
• Turmeric powder
• Coriander powder
• Red chilli powder
• Tomatoes
• Ginger garlic paste
• Sugar
• Salt

Method:

• Boil Maggi, drain the water and keep it aside.
• Heat refined oil in a wok; add whole mustards, ginger garlic paste and chopped onions and tomatoes. Leave it till the aroma comes out.
• Put all other spices along with salt one after the other and keep frying till the aroma comes out.
• Add peas, carrots and boiled Maggi and mix it well. Add curry leaves and sugar, srinkle little bit water and stir till fully cooked. Pour the mixture in a bowl and keep it aside.
• While making dosa batter, apart from water add curd for taste and fineness.
• Make coconut chutney in a mixture grinder and keep it aside.
• Put a broad non-stick dosa tawa on the gas oven. Sprinkle water from all sides and when the tawa turns hot, spread the dosa batter across the tawa and sprinkle water across the border of the tawa.
• When the dosa is cooked, place the coconut chutney with a flat spoon over the dosa in a thin texture. Put the noodles stuffing in the middle and enclose the dosa from both sides.
• Put it in a plate and have it hot with coconut and tamarind chutney.
