A 70 year old psychiatrist was found lying in a pool of blood at her Colaba residence. Dr Ramola Kakkad, a senior psychiatrist with Bombay Hospital sustained head injuries.
According to sources, Kakkad who lives with her family was alone at home last night.
"She was a very gentle lady, full of life. We don't know why this could have happened," said a source from Bombay Hospital where Kakkad had worked for over two decades.
The Colaba police refused comment. "Investigations are under way," said an officer.
