The operation carried out by the Mumbai Police took place at 12:45 am on Wednesday at Akbari Khidmad Hotel, near Dontad Road, in Dongri.
As per the information received by the police officials, Senior Police Inspector Dattatray Jadhav and Assistant Police Inspector Wasim Patel earlier received a tip-off that three individuals were arriving at the hotel to sell stolen mobile phones.
Taking swift action on the information, the team reached the location and set up a trap. One by one, three suspects arrived at the hotel room.
