The landing of Chandrayaan 2 spacecraft is scheduled to land on the surface of the moon

Chandrayaan 2 is scheduled to make a soft landing on the surface of the moon between 1:30 am to 2:30 am on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday be followed by the Rover roll out between 5:30 am to 6:30 am, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) stated. "The maneuver was performed successfully today (September 04, 2019) beginning at 0342 hours Indian Standard Time (IST) as planned, using the onboard propulsion system," the space agency said in a statement.

Narendra Modi with over 60 high school students across the country who cleared an online space quiz last month will be at the ISRO around midnight to watch the soft landing of the mission. After revolving around the Earth's orbit for nearly 23 days, Chandrayaan began its journey on August 14 to the moon. For those interested can witness history unfold as you can now watch the live stream of the landing of the moon mission. The live stream of the landing of the moon mission will be available on ISRO's website, isro.gov.in, where the telecast will be made straight from Bengaluru, its control room at the Satellite Control Centre (SCC).

According to Times Now, the stream will also be available from the press information bureau of India’s YouTube channel. National Geographic has also announced that it will also cover the launch. However, it won't be just an ordinary airing. The channel has reportedly roped in NASA astronaut Jerry Linenger, who will not only take viewers through the landing but will also share his experiences in space with the audience on live TV.
