A retired Sub Inspector (SI) of the Delhi Police and two others were arrested on Tuesday night in case of kidnapping of a 21-year-old girl. The girl Neha, a resident of Nangloi Extension, was kidnapped on April 30 and kept hostage at the house of the SI in Saidpur village in Haryana.

A senior police official said the SI has been identified as Satbir Singh, who was posted with Delhi Armed Police before retirement. The two others were identified as Ajay and his father Ved Prakash, neighbours of the girl.
"On April 30, Ajay allegedly kidnapped Neha while she was on her way to home from market. He then took her to Sonepat in Haryana.
Satbir, who is friend of Ved Prakash, then advised them to keep the girl at his place in Saidpur village. In the meantime, the girl's family started searching for her in the neighbourhood and at their relatives' places. When their search didn't yield anything, her father Satnarayan approached the police on May 2 and lodged a complaint that his daughter was missing. A case of kidnapping was registered at Nangloi police station," said the police official.
The official said after the incident, Ajay was also missing from the area. The police suspected him to be involved in the case as his family told them that even they didn't know where he was. The police then raided Ajay's house in Sonepat but he wasn't found there also.
"The police then came to know that ex-SI Satbir Singh was helping Ajay and his father in hiding Neha at his house. A raid was conducted on Singh's house and Neha rescued. Ajay, Ved Prakash and Satbir were also arrested," said the official.
In her statement to the police, Neha said that Ajay had been stalking her for a year but she had always rejected his advances. "All the three accused have been sent to 14 days judicial custody," the police official added.
