Female elephant found dead in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Carcass of a female elephant was today found lying in Narasipuram forest area on the city outskirts, forest department officials said.

Officials noticed a calf moving around the carcass and separated it to remove the carcass, they said. The elephant was said to be ailing for the last couple of days.
