Greater Noida: A man allegedly killed his father with the help of his mother for objecting to his love marriage in Bisrakh area, police said today. Veer Pal Jat, a resident of Shaberi village under Bisrakh police station area, was found dead inside his house, they said.

Veer Pal's son Mohit, who was in love with a woman, had demanded Rs 10 lakh from his father for solemnising the marriage but his father turned down his demand and objected the proposed marriage. His wife Kaushal, however, favoured his son, police said.

Last night, when Veer Pal was in an inebriated state, Mohit and his mother allegedly strangulated him to death and dragged the body to a separate room and fled the spot. The incident was recorded in a CCTV footage.

Police launched a manhunt to arrest the mother-son duo who are absconding.
