While the Met dept says it's been a warm month so far, Bangaloreans debate over the kind of Christmas they want





No Cold: According to Met officials, this year's low will be only 19 C,
which is higher than last year's 16 C. Representation pic

B Puttana, Director, Meteorological department, said, "In this part of the South, it's not as cold as the North. This month has been particularly cloudless and that's why it's not as cold as it was last year."u00a0

A duty officer at the Meteorological department said, "The temperature may or may not drop. It hasn't yet this month. We'll know in other 15 days."u00a0

Is it time for X'mas?
Siddarth Poojari (33), a restaurateur, said, "I think it's going to be a warm Christmas. I would prefer a cold chilly Christmas any day.

Snehal Vajpayee (23), a public relations executive, said, "If it gets too cold, then we have to start worrying about even leaving the house. Because in this city it can get very bad."

Chill pill

> The coldest recorded day in the city's history was when the mercury dipped to 9 C on December 29, 1883.
