Are Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) construction sites accident-prone? Well, it would seem to be the case what with yet another accident occuring at a MMRDA construction site in Antop Hill area in central Mumbai on Thursday. Though, fortunately no one was injured this time.

The incident occurred at around 4 pm near Dosti Estates in Antop Hill when a pier that was being erected with the help of a crane toppled onto the road.

MMRDA officials who have been receiving flak for lack of safety at their construction sites denied the incident, but locals confirmed about the same.

Incidentally, there have been ten deaths at a public infrastructure site in Mumbai in the last four years.u00a0
