Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi slammed the Opposition and said that those who cheated Bihar the most are now talking about "social justice" just to gain power.

On Friday, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth Rs 48,520 crore in Karakat.

While addressing a rally, PM Modi stated that during the Opposition's tenure, the poor and the deprived sections of society were forced to leave Bihar. For decades, Dalits and tribals in the state did not even have access to basic amenities such as toilets, he claimed, adding that they were not even allowed to enter banks.

“Those who cheated Bihar the most—under whose rule the poor and deprived sections had to leave the state—are today the same people spreading the lie of social justice just to gain power. For decades, Dalits, backward classes, and tribals in Bihar didn’t even have toilets. These brothers and sisters of ours couldn’t even open a bank account. Their entry into banks was denied,” stated PM Modi.

He also questioned the RJD and Congress, stating that during their rule, crores of people did not even have a proper roof over their heads.

“Here, crores of people didn’t even have a proper roof over their heads. This pain, this suffering—was this the social justice of Congress and RJD? There can be no greater injustice than this,” the Prime Minister said.

He also said that the two parties were never concerned about the problems faced by Dalits and backward classes.

Congress and RJD never bothered about the problems faced by Dalits and backward classes. These people would even bring foreigners to show them the poverty in Bihar,” stated PM Modi.

He further asserted that Dalits and the backward classes have left the Congress because of its past wrongdoings, and now the party is talking about social justice only to survive politically. He added that a new era of development and social justice has begun under the NDA government, which has provided basic amenities to the poor.

“A new dawn of social justice has emerged in Bihar and the country during the NDA era. We have provided basic necessities to the poor. We are working to ensure these facilities reach 100 percent of the beneficiaries. Now that the Dalit, deprived, and backward communities have distanced themselves from Congress because of its sins, they are suddenly talking about social justice to save their existence,” PM Modi said.

Further targeting the opposition, Modi highlighted that the NDA government gave Bihar the Makhana Board and a GI tag, which benefits farmers. He mentioned that the people of Bihar had long demanded the modernization of Patna Airport, and that this demand has now been met. PM Modi also highlighted that he inaugurated the new terminal at Bihta Airport, which can accommodate around 1 crore passengers annually, as reported by ANI.

“Our government has announced the Makhana Board. We gave a GI tag to Bihar’s Makhana, which greatly benefited Makhana farmers. In this year’s budget, we also announced a National Institute for Food Processing in Bihar. The people of Bihar had been demanding for a long time that Patna Airport be modernized. That demand has now been fulfilled. Yesterday evening, I had the honour of inaugurating the new terminal building of Patna Airport. This new terminal can handle 1 crore passengers annually, and an investment of Rs 1,400 crore is also being made at Bihta Airport,” the Prime Minister said.

According to ANI, speaking about the Bihar government’s Bhimrao Ambedkar Samagra Seva Abhiyan, PM Modi stated that the initiative aims to reach every corner of the state with 22 new schemes. He said the goal is to benefit Dalits, the backward classes, and poor households. So far, 30,000 camps have been organized under the initiative.

“The Bihar government has started the Bhimrao Ambedkar Samagra Seva Abhiyan, in which the government is reaching every corner of Bihar with 22 important schemes. We aim to reach every Dalit, backward, and poor household. So far, more than 30,000 camps have been organized under this campaign. When the government directly reaches out to beneficiaries, there is no discrimination or corruption. Only then does true social justice happen,” PM Modi said.
