The border issue with China has been a constant topic of discussion by Opposition leaders since the Indo-China clash in Tawang. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said that his party wants the Government to take the Opposition and Indian people into confidence about what exactly they see on the border. “Party and other Opposition parties have been asking for a discussion (on China). While we`re all united in standing up for the nation and security of our country, we want Government to take us and the people of India into confidence about what exactly they`re seeing on border,” he said. Addressing allegations of insulting the Indian Army, the Congress Leader said, “No question of criticising Army. The question is about the country`s political leadership. Why won`t they be doing their job or being politically accountable to the nation? Not calling the Army to explain, asking the political leadership to explain.”
