C Y GopinathIn your travels through the universe, you will occasionally come across a word, a phrase, or perhaps even a whole sentence that will never leave you. It will find a niche in your head and cosy itself there. Perhaps it captures an essential truth, or rhymes cleverly, or changes the way you see things, or even is just difficult to understand.

A sentence like this stepped into my life last week, stopping me in my tracks: When an old man dies, a library burns down.
