Police in China’s central Hubei province has detained an investigative journalist Shangguan Yunkai for allegedly ‘selling counterfeit medicine’, with some claiming his arrest is related to his coverage of corruption allegations across the province.
The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) has condemned the Yunkai’s arrest and called for his immediate release.
