Assembly election results 2022: BJP crosses majority in UP, wins Goa, Manipur

The counting of votes for the five state Assemblies of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, and Manipur began today at 8 am. The exit polls have predicted that BJP will be elected in UP but with reduced seats. AAP is set to win Punjab and the saffron party will retain Uttarakhand. Some exit polls predicted a hung-assembly in Goa. The polls for 117 constituencies were held on February 20 and a total 1,54,69,618 voters exercised their right to franchise.

UP Elections Phase 5: 53.93 per cent voter turnout recorded till 5 pm

Assembly polls 2022: UP records 60.44 per cent voter turnout till 5 pm

Voting for 55 Assembly seats spread across nine Uttar Pradesh districts started on Monday morning. This is the second phase of the Assembly elections in the state.As many as 586 candidates are in the fray in this phase with the seats spread across Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Sambhal, Rampur, Amroha, Budaun, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur. Polling also began in 40 Assembly seats in Goa. Elections also begin in Uttarakhand.

UP Elections Phase 1: 57.79 per cent polling till 5 pm

The battle for Uttar Pradesh began on Thursday with polling at 58 assembly seats spread across 11 districts in the western part of the state. Polling started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm, officials of the state election commission said.
