Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate first traditional Hindu Mandir in UAE and the largest in the West Asia on February 14. Made with 1,800,000 bricks and 689,512 man-hours, 40,000 cubic feet of marble, 180,000 cubic feet of sandstone have been used in the temple. The cost of 108-foot-tall is estimated to be approximately million 440 Dirham. Foundation stone for the temple was laid by PM Modi in 2017. Built on 27 acres of land, the colossal structure can accommodate up to 10,000 people. The temple draws its inspiration from ‘lotus in the desert’. The temple boasts seven spires, each representing an emirate in UAE.

While addressing the Indian community at the inauguration event of the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14 during PM Modi UAE visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked UAE President for his government’s cooperation for the construction of temple. PM Modi further asked standing ovation for the personal contribution of UAE President to the construction of temple. At the inauguration of BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, PM Modi said, “UAE has written a golden chapter. The inauguration of the temple has years of hard work and dreams of many are connected with the temple. Swaminarayan's blessings are also connected…I request all of you to give a standing ovation to the President of UAE.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first Hindu Temple of Middle East in Abu Dhabi on February 14. Upon his arrival at the temple, PM Modi was welcomed by BAPS priests. PM also offered prayers at the temple and offered performed aarti. The temple was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi. The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir of Abu Dhabi has been built by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Notably, much before this PM Modi UAE visit, PM Modi had launched the project for the construction of the Temple in 2015. In 2018, the PM unveiled a model of the traditional stone temple as well. The Temple is a reflection of the graciousness of Govt of UAE, which has gifted 17 acres of land to it.

PM Modi said in his third term India will become the world's largest economy. He said, “Modi has given a guarantee that in his third term, India will become the third largest economy. Modi ki guarantee yani guarantee pura hone ki guarantee.” During PM Modi UAE visit, UAE President HH Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received him warmly at the airport. Dubai is all set to host the largest gathering of Indian diaspora titled 'Ahlan Modi' on Feb 13 in Dubai. PM Modi will address the mass gathering during his upcoming visit to the United Arab Emirates next month. The event, whose title roughly translates to 'Hello Modi' will be held at Sheikh Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The organisers expect to fill the stadium to its fullest capacity, as per the statement issued. According to the release, an "unprecedented euphoria" has been witnessed for the event in UAE with almost 12, 000 registrations received within 24 hours of the announcement. Meanwhile, PM Modi became the first Indian PM to visit the UAE after a gap of 34 years. Notably, PM Modi will also inaugurate the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14.
