He appealed to the citizens of Punjab and all over India to stop trains only in stations and railway crossings in the presence of railway staff in the context of the ‘Rail roko’ protest. Taking a dig at BJP, he further said, “The BJP’s hands are stained with the blood of farmers". The Modi government doesn’t care about the farmers. DMK leader and minister for fisheries and animal husbandry Anitha R Radhakrishnan rolled out an advertisement in the Tamil newspapers on Wednesday. The ad had an image of a rocket with a Chinese flag on its nose cone, instead of the image of an IRSO rocket. The ad was intended to celebrate New space sport in Kulasekarapattinam. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher on February 22 announced that the Delhi Chalo' protest march will be put on hold for 2 days as a 21 year old youth namely Shubhkaran died on February 21 during the protest at khanauri border crossing in Punjab's Sangrur district during clashes with Haryana Police. Some farmers alleged that he was killed in the tear gas shelling by the police. Sarwan Singh said that the protest will continue at the same place wherever it is continuing. On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann came out in support of Shubhakaran’s family after the 21-year-old lost his life in the ongoing farmers' protest. He further stated that whichever police personnel are responsible for Shubhkaran's death, action will be taken against them. He further added that the Punjab government will provide financial aid to Shubhkaran’s family.

The launch of ISRO's meteorological satellite INSAT-3DS, aiming to enhance meteorological observations and help in better weather forecasting and disaster warning, is scheduled for February 17.Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), in a post on X on Thursday said that the satellite will be launched onboard a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle F14 (GSLV F14)."The launch of the GSLV-F14/INSAT-3DS mission is set for Saturday, February 17, at 5:30pm from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR at Sriharikota," ISRO said.In August ISRO had launched successfully launched Chandrayaan-3, for this achievement ISRO was feted with the prestigious Leif Erikson Lunar Prize by the Husavik Museum. In last month January, the Indian Space Research Organisation had injected the Aditya-L1 Solar Mission into its designated orbit.

Farmers began their 'Dilli Chalo' march from Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab and Haryana’s Shambhu Border on February 13. Notably, farmers are protesting over their demands, which include the ‘MSP guarantee law’ and debt waiver. Earlier in the day, security measures intensified at the Shambhu border ahead of the scheduled Farmers protests. Barricades and barbed wires have been erected at the borders of Delhi. As part of security measures, the Delhi Police has imposed a month-long ban on public meetings and tractors and trolleys entering Delhi. A robust force of more than 2000 personnel, including CAPF, Crime Branch staff, and battalions, is ready to maintain security and address any untoward incidents.
