Ayodhya all set for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Mandir on January 22. The idol of Ram Lalla has been placed inside sanctum sanctorum of the temple in Ayodhya. People across India flocked to Ayodhya to witness the historic event. The excited devotees, singing and dancing to the tune of Ram bhajans could be seen. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform rituals to mark the ‘Pran Pratishtha’. Also, a team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit will lead the main rituals. Notably, the process of Pran Pratishtha has already started from January 16. On Jan 18, Ram Lalla’s idol was installed in the sanctum sectorum of the grand new temple.

Diwali 2023: Ayodhya has been illuminated ahead of Diwali. Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, with its variations also celebrated in other Indian religions. It symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance". Diwali is observed on Amavasya (or the new moon), the 15th day of the month of Kartik, every year. This year, Diwali will be celebrated on November 12. The city is fully geared up for its seventh Deepotsav, with over 24 lakh lamps set to illuminate the city. The Guinness Book of World Records team has initiated the lamp count at 51 ghats in the presence of the supervisor, ghat in-charge, coordinator, and counting volunteers.

A Non-AC double-decker bus conducted its last ride in Mumbai on September 15. Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has replaced Non-AC double-decker buses with AC double-decker buses. “Today is an emotional day, we all got emotional...my father used to take me out on this bus since I was a child and I have more than 2000 models of double-decker bus. I request BEST to keep these buses in a museum style,” said a passenger Yatin Angre.“We have a bond with double-decker buses. It is part of our family and we feel like someone from our family is leaving us. Double-decker buses are the pride of Mumbai, and we feel like it should continue its service,” said Gulabrao Aher, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) employee.

Big posters and banners were put up on Race Course Road in Bengaluru on July 17. The posters welcomed leaders of various opposition parties set to arrive for the joint Opposition meeting. Posters of Opposition leaders, including AAP's national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, were put up at the venue. The first round of meetings is scheduled to take place on July 17 and the second round at Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru on July 18.
