However, the Ministry of External Affairs has vehemently rejected the claims made by The Guardian in its report. Denying the allegations, Ministry of External Affairs called it a “false and malicious anti-India propaganda”. After The Guardian’s reports, PM Modi’s 2019 Lok Sabha Election speech doing rounds on social media. On Mar 04, 2019, PM Modi slammed Pakistan for its continuous cross-border terrorism and said, “Hum Ghar me Gush ke Marenge”. Defence Expert KP Fabian has rejected The Guardian’s report and echoed MEA’s statement. However, he said that The Guardian’s report will benefit the ruling BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
