PM Modi implemented CAA on 11th of March. After the implementation several doubts have been raised which has now been cleared by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He had a detailed discussion on CAA in an interview on 14th March. He was asked about his stance on international media terming CAA as an "anti-muslim" law. To this, he replied, "You cannot see this law in isolation. In 1947, partition was done based on religion... Congress leaders at the time had said that people who migrated could come back anytime. But due to appeasement politics, Congress never fulfilled its promise... "

Spiritual leaders hailed the CAA implementation and heaped praised on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 13 and said that it was a much needed law to enable the minority communities of neighboring countries to live with respect and dignity in India. Dastur Khurshed kaikobad Dastoor hailed the CAA and said, “We see it as a welcome step. The Parsis are the most miniscule community in the world. It will be of much help…that they will get citizenship in this holy land, who has always welcomed us.”Acharya Pragya Sagar Ji Maharaj said, “We welcome the CAA. 14 March,2024 10:42 AM ISTAfter years of delay, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019 has been finally implemented in India. The Union Home Ministry on March 11 notified rules for implementation of the CAA, days ahead of LS Polls 2024. The Act aims to confer Indian citizenship to persecuted non-Muslim migrants including Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, and Christians who migrated from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan and arrived in India before December 31, 2014. Shortly after the announcement, celebrations broke out among the Pak refugees who had taken shelter in India. Elated by the implementation, one of the refugees from Jodhpur, called PM Modi an ‘incarnation of God’ and also thanked him. Watch video
12 March,2024 11:10 AM ISTAfter years of delay, Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019 has been finally implemented in India. The Union Home Ministry has notified rules for implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on March 11, days ahead of LS Polls 2024. Home Minister Amit Shah, on multiple occasions, said that CAA rules would be notified ahead of the Lok Sabha elections to be held in April-May. Since 2020, MHA has been regularly seeking extensions from Parliamentary committees to continue process of framing rules associated with it. Following the passage of CAA by Parliament in Dec 2019 and its subsequent Presidential assent, significant uproar erupted in various parts of country. Over a hundred individuals lost their lives either during protests or due to police action subsequent to passage of law in Parliament. Notably, TMC, led by Mamata Banerjee, has been opposing the CAA which also included a massive uproar in WB. Notably, assurance of implementing CAA was a significant electoral agenda for BJP ahead of the LS Polls 2024
