Nationalist Congress Party working president Supriya Sule on Wednesday hit back at Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar for taking a dig at her father and party veteran Sharad Pawar over his age. 'Disrespect us, but not our father (Sharad Pawar). This fight is against the Bharatiya Janata Party government. The BJP is the most corrupt party in the country,” Sule said in Mumbai.

Amid speculations of rift in the Nationalist Congress Party, Ajit Pawar, along with eight leaders of the NCP took the oath of office on Sunday. A disgruntled Ajit Pawar made the latest move four years after he tried to divide the Nationalist Congress Party as he once again took oath as the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, a post he will share with BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis. This came after he held an urgent meeting with NCP MLAs earlier in the day and, according to sources, at least 30-40 of the party’s legislators were in attendance. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Jayant Patil during a press conference in Mumbai informed media that his party has filed a disqualification petition against the 9 defected leaders in the Maharashtra legislative assembly. Meanwhile, NCP working president Supriya Sule said that Ajit Pawar joining the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis Maharashtra Government is "painful" but her relationship with him would remain the same. "My relationship with Ajit Pawar will not change, he will always remain my elder brother. We will rebuild the party," said NCP MP Supriya Sule.

Doctor Divulges Cyrus Mistry Suffered Head Injury

The doctor who attended Cyrus Mistry after he was brought to a government hospital in Kasa following a road accident on September 04, said that the former Tata Sons chairman had received a head injury when his car rammed into the divider and he was “brought dead” to the hospital. “Two people including Cyrus Mistry were brought dead here. Cyrus had a head injury and there was internal bleeding. In the initial stages, it looks like an accidental death. Further details can be known after the police investigation,” he said. Following the tragic demise of the business tycoon, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered a detailed probe into the matter on September 04. Cyrus Mistry died in a car accident while he was en route from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. Chaityabhoomi at Shivaji Park is the memorial of Ambedkar, a key architect of India's Constitution. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, State Tourism and Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, BMC chief Iqbal Chahal, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, Maharashtra Congress Chief Nana Patole and many others were present with the chief minister on the occasion. Ambedkar followers also visited the venue and paid their respects.
