BMC's Mumbai Coastal Road Project Arch String Girder (Bridge) was successfully installed on April 26. After a lot of anticipation finally, Mumbai Coastal Road Project and Bandra-Worli Sea Link got connected successfully. Earlier, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) allocated Rs 3200 crore for its ambitious Mumbai Coastal Road project in its 2022-23 budget. As per BMC data, the coastal road project got the highest share of budget allocation by BMC for the year 2022-23 at 17 per cent. This will benefit commuters, especially during peak hours in the morning and the evening when there's heavy traffic. Speaking to ANI, General Manager Planning of Hindustan Construction Company, Pawan Padiyar said, “The Bandra-Worli Sea Link was also constructed by Hindustan Construction Company, one of the iconic project in Mumbai. We are glad this time also we have constructed this iconic bridge for costal road. It is also adjacent to Bandra-Worli Sea Link. It is changing the aesthetics of Mumbai.” He further informed about the materials that were used in constructing this massive bridge.

Voting for the Second phase of 2024 Lok Sabha Elections began on April 26. Several politicians, businessmen, actors and top ranking officials from the Bengaluru constituency of Karnataka came forward to cast their votes today. Businessman Narayana Murty cast his vote at the BES polling station in Bengaluru along with his wife and author Sudha Murty. Voting for remaining seats in Karnataka will take place on May 07 and results will be declared on June 04. Sudha Murty shared a special message for young voters after casting her vote in the Lok Saba elections 2024. She urged people to come out and vote. She emphasized the importance of active participation. "I want to tell everyone- don't sit at home, come out and vote, choose your leader. I always feel that urban people vote less as compared to those in rural areas. I request youngsters to come out and vote,” said Sudha Murty. Actor Prakash Raj also cast his vote. Watch video.

Today on 19th April, the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha election 2024 kicked off. In Maharashtra, the voting began in five seats of Nagpur, Ramtek (SC), Bhandara-Gondia, Chandrapur, and the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli-Chimur (ST). Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and his wife Amruta Fadnavis were seen casting their votes at a polling booth in Nagpur. After casting his vote, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said, "Festival of democracy has started. Maharastra CM Eknath Shinde on 11th March inaugurated the first phase of the Mumbai Coastal road between Worli and Marine drive in South Mumbai. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar and other dignitaries were also present at the event. Let us tell you that the work on the ambitious project started on October 13, 2018 and is built at a cost of Rs 13, 983 crores. The high speed corridor stretches for 10.58 km between Marine Drive and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL). After today's inauguration, a 9.5 km-long stretch would be made operational.
