Singing legend Lata Mangeshkar's mortal remains, draped in the national flag, were taken in a truck from her residence in south Mumbai to Shivaji Park in Dadar on Sunday evening for the funeral. A large number of people also thronged the roads from where the cortege passed as the 92-year-old melody queen embarked on her final journey. BMC converts Worli's NSCI dome into quarantine facility in two days

On Day 16 of the 21-day nationwide lockdown in Maharashtra, Mumbai witnessed over 140 positive cases of COVID-19, which is the most number of cases in a single day so far. While Maharashtra continued to remain the worse affected state in India, Odisha became the first state to extend lockdown in the state till April 30. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that the 30 per cent salary cut of all state legislators will be implemented for a year.
