The vibrant and joyous festival of Gudi Padwa was celebrated by Hoisting the traditional Gudi and prayer to it on the New year for the Hindus on Gudi Padwa in Mumbai on 9th of April. People were seen participating in the Shobha Rally. Women were seen dressed in traditional attire and participated in the Rally to mark the Marathi New Year Gudi Padwa. They danced their hearts out on the beats of dhol and nagadas. The festival was celebrated with full vigor and enthusiasm. Gudi Padwa ocassion signals yeh onset of the warmer days and the spring season. This year Gudi Padwa has coincided with the first day of the Chaitra Navratri and festivals like Sajibu Cheiraoba, Navreh, Cheti Chand and Ugadi that are celebrated in different parts of the country.

Actress Shilpa Shetty is busy promoting her upcoming web series 'Indian Police Force' directed by Rohit Shetty. The series also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. In a media interaction, Shilpa spoke about how excited her son was after watching the trailer of the series and was very proud of the actress. UP Police’s new announcement in the sensational Seema Haider case has surely raised a lot of eyebrows. In a major development, UP Police recovered two video cassettes, four mobile phones, five Pakistan-authorised passports, and one unused passport from Seema Haider. With the recent recovery of UP, speculations are being made that whether Seema is a ‘true lover’ or a Pak spy. Apart from that, ‘Room No 204’ of the Kathmandu hotel is in focus amid the ongoing probe. Seema Haider, who is under the Police’s scanner, had crossed over to India to live with Sachin Meena whom she befriended via an online game. Haider was arrested on July 4 for illegally entering India without a visa, while Meena was put behind bars for sheltering the illegal immigrants. However, they were both granted bail by a local court on July 7 and have been living together with her four children in a house in the Rabupura area.

Harshly criticizing the airline while recounting the ‘pee-gate’ horror incident that happened onboard Air India New York-Delhi flight, eyewitness Sugata Bhattacharjee on January 08 said that his 2-page complaint regarding the incident went nowhere. A heart-wrenching case of Gang rape with a minor has been reported in Palghar. On December 17, the survivor's father had told the police that their minor daughter is missing. After the complaint, the Satpati police traced the girl and rescued her from Haranwadi area. The girl told that she was raped by 8 people, on the evening of 16th December & she was taken to a closed bungalow on the seashore where 8 people tortured her. Police have arrested the 8 accused and registered a case under several IPC sections along with POCSO Act against the accused, further investigation is underway

South Korean live-streamer Hyojeong Park was sexually assaulted by two men at Mumbai's posh Khar West area on November 29. Park was streaming live on an online platform when the assault took place. She was rescued from the situation by a viewer who was around the area. Mumbai police later arrested the two men, Mobeen Chand Mohammad Shaikh and Mohammad Naqeeb Sadrealam Ansari on December 1.
