Nagpur: Daryl Ferrario hit a fighting ton, while Sujumon Joseph chipped in with a well-made half century as India U-19 cricket team scored 431-8 declared in their first innings against England on Day Three of the first Youth Test match at the VCA Stadium yesterday.

Replying to the visitors’ first innings score of 501-5 declared, India batsmen faced a few hiccups but coasted to 431-8 declared. The hosts lost overnight batsmen Jonty Singh (33) and R Thakur (31), but Ferrario fought back and scored a century to shore up Indian innings.
