It was visitors Delhi who opened the scoring via Simon Child's field goal in the fourth minute. Child then made it 2-0 in the 47th minute.

Mumbai's Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner in the 51th minute to pull one back to make it 1-2.

With just a minute to go for the final whistle, Jason Wilson scored for Delhi to take the game out of Mumbai's reach.

Lack of quality
Mumbai coach Valentin Alternburg said, "I don't think that the game was about the third goal, we went all out for the all-important second goal. We had so many chances but we lacked quality and failed to convert."

Delhi coach Cedric D'Souza said, "Today's game was closely fought. This match ended 3-1, but there were possibilities of a 2-2 draw."
