Do you have a bulky file with menus of numerous restaurants? Have you been rushed while placing an order over the phone, because the person on the other end seemed busy enough already? Has the delivery person landed up at your doorstep with the wrong order? If you've answered yes to any of these questions, it might be time to log on to Food Ka Mood. 
The online food court is the brainchild of Tanuj More, a former investment banker with Citigroup in America, who wants to encourage people to place orders online, and in the process save paper and trees by not relying on printed menus.
He says, "While working in New York, I came across online food portals that make ordering a hassle-free experience. When I returned to India, I thought of launching a similar concept here for people's convenience."
With Food Ka Mood, users can order a meal from different restaurants across the city, and have it delivered to their home or office. They also have the option of ordering from multiple restaurants at the same time and paying online or by cash on delivery. On placing an order, users will be informed of the minimum order charge and delivery time.
For added convenience, users canu00a0 save their favourite orders and re-order with just one click and save on time spent entering the delivery addresses. Users also earn points each time they order online, which can be redeemed against future orders. The service is free and there are no additional delivery charges either; all you pay for is your order.
The site was launched in September last year during which it had its trial run, and went live in January of this year. Food Ka Mood has tied up with more than 140 restaurants and dessert shops in the city, including Mainland China, Crepe Station, Shalimar Restaurant, Garcia's Famous Pizza, Little Italy, Mahesh Lunch Home, Kailash Parbat, Nando's, Persian Darbar, On Toes, Not Just Desserts, Kareem's and Mocha.
The service is currently operational between Colaba and Mahim; CST and Matunga, Bandra and Borivali, as well as Powai, Wadala and Sewri.
