And is one of the surprises a wedding on the cards? “Until you don’t spot a big ring on my finger, don’t believe anyone!” laughs the actress, who’s been linked with Randeep Hooda. Neetu just got back from Cyprus after shooting for a Greek movie. She speaks to CS about her birthday plans and enjoying the monsoon.
A hearty birthday
I am expecting lots and lots of flowers on my birthday! And yes, there is a buzz amongst my friends so I know there will be surprises. But I wish my family could have been with me. I plan to spend my birthday lavishly having a grand meal near the poolside and sleeping. I will have biryani, ice cream, a Ferrero Rocher cake, strawberry milkshake and I will not share it with anyone. And later, I will slog in the gym! (laughs)
A birthday bash, literally!
My best birthday was when I was around eight years old. My birthday was celebrated in such a grand manner that people thought there was a wedding going on! These international dolls had recently come in the market and my cake had a lot of layers with a big doll in the centre.
Singing in the rain
I recently came back from Cyprus. People there have a lot of common names. Every second guy you meet is Andrews or George and every second girl you meet is Lisa or Katrina. The people there know all the Bollywood songs. But there’s no place like home. The rains have come and I like sitting near my window and sipping ‘chai’. I also love cooking that time. I like wearing bright colours but white is my favourite during the rains. I love getting drenched and you’ll often find me singing ‘Mann kyun behka re behka aadhi raat ko.’
