DC Design store now open at Mumbai International Airport

Leading Indian automotive remodelling company DC Design launched its only dealership in Mumbai on Monday. The domestic vehicle customisation outlet will now be based out of the city’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), informed a press release.

The first Indian sports car, made completely in the country, the DC Avanti is put on show at the company’s latest store in Mumbai. The store will be the only one in the city to display customized cars by renowned car designer Dilip Chhabria, claimed the release.

The launch of the DC design store by CSIA inside T2 will also serve as an advocacy of the brand and information assistance locus for travellers to learn more about its offerings.

Talking of the car, it is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol pot that churns out 251.4PS of maximum power and 340Nm of peak torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.

On the outside, the car gets an aerodynamic design that is accentuated by bi-xenon headlights with LED DRLs, wide air dam with inset mesh grille, body coloured bumpers, smooth character lines running across the length, rear scoops for cooling the rear mounted engine and LED tail lights.

The decently long list of features includes optional parking sensors, keyless start stop option, parking assistance, multi-function display, GPS navigation, auto controlled air conditioning system etc. Safety-wise though, the car does not sport airbags, while it is equipped with ABS and brake assist.
