Like moths to a flame, we headed to  Lohar Chawl near Crawford Market to find the brightest lights this Diwali

Where there are flowers, there will be butterflies. If you have had floral-shaped lights last year, pick these winged beauties  now. We also  spotted a huge, trippy butterfly light with wings that move!

The metallic light torans (bunched for display in pic) are the newest entrants in the market, we are told. The metal case that holds the bulbs comes in a variety of filigree options.

As if bright lights weren’t enough, there’s more bling on display. The thick black wire around crystal lights makes them classier than their siblings. The lights also change colour from blue and yellow to 
pink. However, the coolness comes at a steep price.

We aren’t fans of noisy crackers, but this cracker light is on our must-buy list. It makes the sound of a cracker burst at the press of a button.
