Spooky fun behind the camera

Delivering a bone-chilling horror film is no mean task. But the work becomes easier if you share a comfortable relationship with the cast and crew. Click's director Sangeeth Sivan has a similar story to tell. "I've worked with Shreyas (Talpade) in Apna Sapna Money Money. And Sada and Sneha (Ullal) are also very easy to work with.

But the best part of making this film was the management. The pre-production and shoots were so well-planned that if someone asked me what would happen 10 days from now, I could easily tell. We have shot for 35 days at a stretch without a single hitch." Well that's something really rare and the credit must also extend to production houses Pritish Nandy Communications and RNA Play Entertainment.

And with all that horror in the background, scary pranks were quite regular on the sets. Says Shreyas, "Sangeeth and I would usually team up to play pranks on others.

"Once Sangeeth told Sada to prepare for a solo scene. He then stood behind the camera and I went on the second floor to walk on a ledge that sloped downwards. Sada was engrossed in her shot. The photographer asked her to turn and I jumped in front of her. She screamed in fright and we caught her expression on camera!"

Sangeeth has another such incident to share. "We were shooting in the attic of a house in Mauritius which is actually a running museum. I was preparing for a shot with a dummy corpse. I was lyingu00a0 down next to it to plan the technicalities. Three visitor ladies walked in through the door and seeing me lying next to the decomposed corpse, they started screaming at the top of their voices. We managed to calm them down.

It was the last day of the shoot. While we were wrapping up, the watchman came up to me and told me that this was actually the home of a French couple whose daughter committed suicide in that very house. We were all very glad to have found this out on the last day of our shoot!"

So go catch the film that releases today. You might scream your guts out, but we're sure that you'll be sitting at the edge of your seat, completely gripped. So let the squeals sound as the spook fest kickstarts.
