If you have been looking for a quick way to build your own business app, you may want to try Instappy.com
As the number of smartphone users continues to grow, sooner or later, it will be inevitable that businesses/services be made available as apps across platforms. But the cost of building an app doesn’t seem like a profitable proposition, particularly for small businesses or professionals. Even if you do design one yourself, there are factors that need to be considered, like buying cloud storage, hiring an engineer for technical support, etc. This is when a web service like Instappy.com comes handy. The Web service allows you to build your own app via its easy-to-use Web interface in just 60 minutes.
The platform currently offers four packages, a free standard package with no cloud storage or technical support, and three paid packages (Basic, Advanced and Enterprise) starting at R50 for the Basic package that includes everything you may require to run your app, but with a limitation of 3GB cloud space and only email-based technical support.
We signed up for the free service, but unfortunately, the confirmation mail, required to initiate the process, never arrived on our mailbox, and hence, we were unable to build our free app. Nevertheless, the platform did seem manageable even for a novice. And if you have worked on any of the CMS platforms such as Wordpress or Blogger, you may be up and running in
The entire process of building an app on the platform is automated. The platform offers ready-to-use templates, and handy tools to help you build your app. All you have to do is pick your app’s language, and fill in the blanks with details such as your app name, icons, background colour, as well as the content that you want to see on the app.
Also, we didn’t find much of a difference between the templates. Using a service like Instappy.com, you may just end up with an assembly-line app that works similar to every other app in the market. But if cost is an issue, and you prefer to be control of things, this portal is worth a try.
