Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza says it was a "dream" for her to reach the women's doubles final of the French Open tennis and believes she and her Russian partner Elena Vesnina hold the edge in today's title clash against unseeded Czechs Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka.
Sania created history by becoming the first Indian woman to enter a Grand Slam doubles final when she and Elena shocked fourth-seeded Americans Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 on Wednesday.
"We are ecstatic to be in the final. It is a dream for everyone whoever picks up a tennis racquet to be in the final of a Slam," said Sania.
About the final she said: "To be honest, we have been the surprise package this week. We have defied odds this week and hope we can do it one more time. Elena is an experienced player and has been in couple of finals in French Open here and in Wimbledon. I have also played couple of mixed doubles finals, so we have the edge over them. They've never played in a Slam final."
