Samay Raina has confirmed that he is returning with a brand new season of India's Got Latent. Ever since he made the announcement during his famous Still Alive video, fans have been eagerly awaiting an announcement on when the new season drops. Amid this, strong speculations about India's Got Latent season 2's release date surfaced after a video featuring Samay's friend and close collaborator, Balraj Ghai, went viral on the internet on May 7, 2026.

On May 8, Balraj Ghai's clip went viral, wherein he allegedly hinted at a possible release date of India's Got Latent season 2. In the video, he seems to be participating in a podcast and says, "I am so happy that everything is falling back into place. Sab sahi jaa raha hai finally (Everything is going well, finally). And ab bas main May 9 ke liye ruka hoon, second season drop hoga aur phir uske baad duniya bhaai jo… (Now, I'm just waiting for May 9, when the second season will drop. After that, the world will…)." The clip abruptly ends there.

The video has been widely circulated online, leaving fans excited at the return of Samay Raina's controversial show, following the infamous row.

Balraj Ghai clarifies his recent viral video

After his video went viral on Thursday, Balraj shared a video of himself on Friday, May 8, on his Instagram stories, breaking his silence on the viral video. In the new video, he can be been saying, "Hello everyone, one of my clips has been going viral recently," followed by the viral clip playing in the video.

"And after that, the clip is being seen everywhere. Since it went viral, my phone has not stopped ringing. It was a leak.
It wasn't meant to go out. (0:26) So, before anyone thinks anything else, the date I have mentioned about Season 2 is about Flipkart Sasa Lele season 2." He clarified that the date wasn't for season 2 of India's Got Latent, but season 2 of a sale for a popular e-commerce brand.

He concluded the video on a funny note, saying, "And one more thing. Can only Samay (Raina) do brand deals?"
