Content creator and actor RJ Mahvash has confirmed that she will be a part of Season 2 of the controversial comedy talent show India's Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina. The revelation came during a recent interview while Mahvash was promoting her upcoming OTT project Satrangi: Badle Ka Khel.
Speaking about the upcoming season, Mahvash revealed that Samay personally invited her to join the show. Recalling the conversation, she shared that he had directly asked whether she would attend the next season, and she immediately agreed. Her confirmation has sparked excitement among fans, especially as India's Got Latent prepares for a comeback months after facing massive backlash and legal controversies surrounding its earlier episodes.
The first season of the show landed in controversy after remarks made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia triggered outrage online, leading to multiple FIRs and criticism from various groups. Following the backlash, Samay removed episodes of the show from YouTube and briefly stepped away from the public spotlight. Despite the controversy, the comedian later announced that the show would return with a second season, promising a bolder and more unfiltered format.
Mahvash also addressed the criticism surrounding Samay and fellow creators connected to the controversy. She stated that she continues to support her friends despite public scrutiny and believes people should not be judged forever for their mistakes. The actor explained that several creators had supported her professionally in the past, even before they became close friends, and that loyalty matters to her.
During the interaction, Mahvash clarified that although she had spoken to Ranveer Allahbadia during the controversy, she was mostly observing the developments from the outside. She maintained that the creators she personally knows have always behaved respectfully with her.
Meanwhile, the return of India's Got Latent continues to generate strong reactions online. While many fans are excited about Season 2, others remain divided because of the previous controversy. Social media discussions and Reddit threads have already begun speculating about possible guest panels and the show's comeback format.
Apart from India's Got Latent, Mahvash is also gearing up for the release of Satrangi: Badle Ka Khel, which is scheduled to premiere on OTT on May 22, 2026. She is additionally working on filmmaker Remo D'Souza's romantic comedy project.
