Comedian and content creator Samay Raina has officially confirmed that work on the second season of his popular comedy talent show India's Got Latent is underway. The announcement comes after weeks of speculation from fans eager to know whether the show would return following the controversy that led to its abrupt disappearance from YouTube in 2025.
Samay shared the update through an Instagram story, posting a behind-the-scenes photograph from the sets of the show. In the image, he can be seen holding a microphone while comedian Balraj Ghai stands behind him. Accompanying the picture was a playful message that read, "Uski bhi shooting chal rahi hai dostoooo," confirming that filming for Season 2 has already begun.
Interestingly, the post did not reveal the complete judging panel. Most of the faces were deliberately hidden, seemingly to maintain suspense around the upcoming season. However, comedian Aashish Solanki appeared to be partially visible in the frame, sparking further curiosity among fans about who else will be part of the new lineup.
The update follows a leaked image from the alleged sets of India's Got Latent Season 2 that surfaced online earlier this month. The viral picture featured actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari seated alongside Balraj Ghai and Aashish Solanki, leading to widespread speculation that the actresses may appear as guests on the show. While the image generated significant buzz online, neither the actors nor the makers have officially confirmed their involvement.
Samay had first announced the return of India's Got Latent during his stand-up special Still Alive, where he addressed the controversy surrounding the show's first season and assured audiences that a new chapter was on the way. He expressed his desire to continue the show because he genuinely enjoyed creating it and hinted at an even bolder format for the upcoming season.
The show's comeback is being closely watched, especially after the backlash it faced in 2025 following controversial remarks made by guest Ranveer Allahbadia, which resulted in legal complaints and the removal of all episodes from YouTube. Despite the turbulent past, Samay appears determined to revive the franchise and bring it back to audiences. While a release date has not yet been announced, the confirmation that filming has begun suggests that India's Got Latent Season 2 is moving steadily toward its much-anticipated return.
