In shocking news, thieves recently broke into Sangeeta Bijlani's farmhouse in Maval, Pune. The shocking incident came to light after the Bollywood actress recently visited her farmhouse after a long time. She registered a complaint with the local police, who have now started investigating the matter. In her complaint, Sangeeta noted that the main gate of her farmhouse as well as the window grill were vandalised.
When Sangeeta Bijlani visited her Pune house on July 18, she found that her property had been vandalised and a few valuable items had been stolen. Sangeeta informed the SP Sandeep Singh Gill that she hadn't visited her farmhouse in months due to her father's health problems. She shared, "Today, I went to the farmhouse with my two househelps. As soon as I reached there, I was shocked to see that the main gate was broken. When we went inside, the window grill was broken, one TV set was missing, and another was broken."
She added, "A TV set was missing, CCTV cameras along with many household items, including the bed and refrigerator, have been vandalised." She stated that the upper floor was completely ransacked, while all beds were broken, and many household items and valuables were missing or destroyed.
A team of police officials has been sent to the location for assessment, according to Lonavala police station senior inspector Dinesh Tayde. He told PTI, "We will register an offence once the assessment of the damage and theft is completed." According to the CCTV footage, the thieves robbed and vandalised the farmhouse. The police are investigating the matter, along with the farmhouse's CCTV footage.
Sangeeta Bijlani is best known for working in Bollywood films such as Tridev, Hathyar, Inspector Dhanush, Shiv Ram, Game, Nirbhay, among others. She also made headlines for her relationship with Salman Khan in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The two lovebirds even planned to get married and even had their wedding invitations printed. However, the wedding was called off shortly ahead of the scheduled date.
During an appearance, Sangeeta confirmed that days before her wedding, she caught Salman having an affair with Somi Ali, which led to her breaking up. Despite their turbulent breakup, they have remained good friends and even seen together often at family and social events. Earlier this month, Salman even attended Sangeeta's 65th birthday celebrations.
