Samantha on her diet
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was suffering from an auto-immune disease, myositis in 2024. The actress has been vocal about the pain she has endured and shared how she is taking care of her health post that. In a recent podcast, she shared her health and diet routine and revealed being on a strict diet without any cheat day.
In an interaction with celebrity nutritionist Ryan Fernando, the Citadel actress shared, "My diet is a bit strict. It is nowhere close to what it was when I was a teenager. I was a big foodie, junk food pro max. I thought I was invincible, nothing affected me. When I was young, I was on the skinnier side and never really put on weight and could eat anything, at least that's what I thought. I didn't know that it was not just about the weight, but also about inflammation that could manifest in many other ways."
She added, "My diet is mostly anti-inflammatory. It's basically about finding what does not work for you and eliminating that. There are no cheat days, it is the same kind of food for me every day and I am used to it. As a must-find, you will find cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts. I do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Maybe my breakfast is mostly smoothies. This is followed by lunch and dinner. I don't have a fancy chef, but my assistant, who didn't know how to make coffee, miraculously learned how to make all the food that I eat, and he cooks for me on the set.
The actress was last seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny with Varun Dhawan, where she plays an officer. She next has Rakt Brahmand. The mega-budget project stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Ali Fazal in pivotal roles.
Apart from professional endeavours, Samantha has been in the news for her personal life. As per reports, she is dating Citadel: Honey Bunny director Raj Nidimoru, but she has been tight-lipped about such speculation. However, she dropped some pictures last month that featured the director, sparking rumours and leaving her fans curious.
