Bollywood filmmaker Shekhar Kapur likes to maintain a low profile and is rarely seen at Bollywood parties or get-togethers. So, it was quite a pleasant surprise when the 'Mr. India' director uploaded an old black-and-white picture of Bruce Lee with filmmaker Yash Johar and actor James Coburn.

Shekhar tagged Karan Johar and tweeted, "Hi @karanjohar. Was going thru archives in research for my film on Bruce Lee. Look what I found! A Pic of ur Dad with James Coburn and Bruce"

Karan Johar replied back to him saying:

The vintage picture, shared by Shekhar Kapur seems to have been taken in the 1970s. The two had written the story of Richard Moore's 'Circle of Iron' (1978) and Coburn was one of Bruce Lee's famous students.

Yash Johar, before becoming a filmmaker and launching one of Bollywood's leading production houses Dharma Productions, worked as a production controller for the Dev Anand starrer film 'Guide' (1965). The photo seems to suggest that Bruce Lee along with Yash and James Coburn were possibly scouting for locations for a film collaboration, but we guess the film never got made.

After Yash Johar's demise, Karan Johar has been heading Dharma Productions and the next films lined up for release are 'Drive', 'Ittefaq' and 'Dragon'.

Shekhar Kapur will co-write and direct 'Little Dragon', a feature film, about Bruce Lee's early days. The film is backed by Chinese investors and will explore the formative years and adventures of the martial arts legend in 1950s Hong Kong.

Veteran Hollywood casting director Mary Vernieu is currently leading a worldwide search for the actor to play to play Lee's younger version.

The film will be co-scripted and produced by Lee's daughter, Shannon, who runs Bruce Lee Entertainment, a division of the Bruce Lee Family Company, which is dedicated to promoting and protecting Lee's legacy and ideas.

'Little Dragon' is being planned as an official US-China co-production. Currently in pre-production, the project will go on floors later this summer in two countries - China and Malaysia.
