The trailer of Agastya Nanda's theatrical debut, Ikkis, was released a few days ago. The film chronicles the journey of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. While the release date was kept under wraps, the makers have finally revealed that the film is all set to hit theatres on December 25 and will clash with this big film.
Taking to their Instagram handle, Maddock Films shared the poster and wrote, "On 25th December, bravery marches into cinemas. Witness the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India's youngest Param Vir Chakra hero." Notably, the film will lock horns with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's Alpha at the box office.
Talking about Ikkis, it tells the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal - India's youngest Param Vir Chakra hero. At just 21, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal became a legend. His story is not one of age, but of spirit - of honour, sacrifice, and glory.
The trailer of the film, released on October 29, offers a glimpse of Agastya Nanda's role as soldier Arun Khetarpal, who was martyred on the battlefield. The trailer highlights Khetarpal's courage and grit to fight for the nation. His love story with actress Simar Bhatia is also portrayed in the trailer.
Apart from Agastya, the film also stars veteran actor Dharmendra as Khaterpal's father. The biopic features Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles as army officers. Akshay Kumar's niece, Simar Bhatia, will also make her acting debut with this biographical war drama. It is helmed by National Award-winning director Sriram Raghavan.
Alia Bhatt is all set to star in Alpha, YRF's first female-led spy film, alongside Sharvari. The actioner is slated to hit screens in December this year. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Alpha is touted to be one of the biggest female-led action thrillers in India. It is the seventh film in the YRF Spy Universe. As per reports, it may feature a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan and will pave the way for Pathaan 2.
