November 5 is when filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious epic, Ramayana: Part 1, will reach the audience. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash have kick-started promotions, and they unveiled the international trailer in Bengaluru. Amid this, a glimpse of Sai Pallavi at a chat show with Jagapathi Babu is going viral, in which Ranbir praises her. He also speaks in Telugu, which impresses Sai.
Sai Pallavi will appear as the first guest on the second season of the Telugu talk show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa with Jagapathi. Ahead of the episode's premiere, the makers released a promo featuring a special video message from Ranbir for the actress.
In the video, Ranbir expresses his admiration for Sai and says, "Sai, what I admire most about you is your honesty. Every co-star should be lucky enough to share a frame with someone like you. And when it comes to Sita, I honestly can't imagine anyone else. People are going to see you in a whole new light, and I can't wait for that."
The actor also addresses his Telugu-speaking audience in their language, thanking them for their affection. He says, "And to my Telugu audience, mee premakee na dhanyavadelu (Thank you for your love)." The gesture visibly touches Sai, who responds to Ranbir's message with, "How sweet."
Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Rocking Star Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The film is set to bring one of the world's most revered epics to the big screen.
Interestingly, the film will also reach the corridors of power that day. mid-day has learnt that the film will be screened for political leaders at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the Motion Picture Association has passed Ramayana with a PG-13 rating. This rating is similar to U/A in India and means that some material may be inappropriate for children below the age of 13. The other major development is that Ramayana has been passed internationally with a runtime of more than 3 hours. As per an earlier report in Variety, the English version of the film will be around 30 minutes shorter than the Hindi cut, making for a more concise edit aimed at global viewers.
