Actress Alia Bhatt is all set to headline Alpha, the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe, and reports suggest she has landed a massive pay cheque for the role. The actress is reportedly the highest-paid star in the film. Alpha is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 100 crore.
According to Asianet News, Alia is the highest-paid actor in Alpha. The actress has apparently received a whopping Rs 25 crore to portray the character of deadly super-agent Sita. As for Sharvari, she is rumoured to have earned Rs 3 crore. As per a report by Times Now News, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor have reportedly received Rs 6 crore each for their roles.
Ahead of its release, the censor certificate of Alpha got leaked. With the UA 16+ certificate, Alpha has also locked its runtime, which is 140 minutes (2 hours and 20 minutes).
The censor certificate on the CBFC website also reveals the official plot summary of the film. The certificate hints at Alia Bhatt's character, Sita, being a fierce addition to the YRF Spy Universe after Tiger, Kabir, and Pathaan. The plot summary of the film reads, "Driven by revenge, a young girl destroys anyone in her path until her journey uncovers the hidden truths of her own life. She is bold, cold, and ready to cross any line, hurting anyone who stands in her way."
Alpha marks the fourth standalone film in the YRF Spy Universe and the seventh overall, following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and War 2. The film will introduce Alia Bhatt as the first female spy in the Spy Universe. It is all set to hit the screens on July 3.
The over-two-minute-long trailer begins with Alia Bhatt introducing her character, Sita, as she mouths the lines, "Sita aaj Lanka khud jalane aayi hai" and "Shuru karo agnee pariksha," hinting at the high-octane action sequences between her and Bobby Deol, who plays a ruthless mentor. However, the biggest highlight comes right at the end, when Hrithik Roshan makes a cameo as Agent Kabir, making the trailer even more exciting.
On the work front, Alia will next be seen in Love and War. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
