Bipasha Basu has shared an update after raising concerns about finding what she identified as tiny worms inside a nutrition product. The actor took to Instagram Stories to share the response she received from the brand, along with her reply to the team.
In the note addressed to Bipasha, Team ISOPURE thanked the actor for her "love and trust" in the brand and said it remains committed to being a trusted partner in her fitness journey. The team emphasised that product quality and safety remain at the heart of its efforts.
The brand also directed Bipasha towards its official website for purchasing genuine ISOPURE products. It further advised consumers to authenticate their tubs through the digitally active label on the pack before consuming them.
The note concluded with a message to Bipasha, saying, "Here's to always choosing what's best for your fitness journey."
The response comes days after Bipasha had raised concerns about an ISOPURE product on her Instagram Stories. In the video shared on September 10, the actor claimed that a newly opened tub contained "tiny tiny worms" and tagged Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe, urging action over what she described as concerns around adulterated products.
Sharing the brand's note with her followers, Bipasha appeared appreciative of the response and the steps taken by the team. "Thank you isopure india for taking this up so seriously," she wrote.
The actor went on to thank the team for its quick response and for informing her about where and how to get the genuine product. "All the best," she added.
Bipasha also used the opportunity to highlight what she sees as a larger concern surrounding adulteration in the country. "The adulteration in our country has gotten really bad... a thorough clean up is required," she wrote. She also recently said that muscular women were not accepted as actresses.
Known for her fitness-focused lifestyle, Bipasha has often spoken about health and wellness, making the incident particularly relevant to her. Her latest update also shifts the conversation towards product authenticity and the importance of purchasing supplements through authorised channels.
On the work front, Bipasha is set to return to acting with Hansal Mehta's Barabanki, marking her comeback to acting after her last screen appearance in the 2020 web series Dangerous.
