The composer-singer won't be able attend the Coldplay concert today. In July last year, Coldplay fans in India were in for a surprise when the band's frontman Chris Martin played an impromptu gig at a popular nightclub in the city.
Composer-singer Vishal Dadlani also joined Martin onstage as they performed for the ecstatic crowd. However, Vishal will give Coldplay's first-ever concert in India a miss. "I'm playing a concert in Delhi today so I'm not going to be at the Global Citizen Festival," says Dadlani.
Ask him about the bond he shares with Martin and he says, "I met the guy once last year. He is a nice chap, but it's not like we're best friends or anything." Vishal likes Coldplay, but he is not upset about not being in Mumbai to attend the show. "I watched Coldplay at Glastonbury earlier this year. So I'm good (smiles)," he says.
