Darshan Kumaar's look as an IMA officer in 'Kaagaz 2,' almost landed him in reprimand

Actor Darshan Kummar revealed being reprimanded for his look as an IMA officer, which he donned for his upcoming film `Kaagaz 2`

Darshan Kumaar captivated audiences with his portrayal of Krishna Pandit in 'The Kashmir Files.' Now, the actor is all set to win over his fans heart yet again with 'Kaagaz 2.' He plays an IMA officer supporting Satish Kaushik's fight for justice after his daughter's tragic death.

Darshan Kumaar underwent rigorous training to portray an IMA officer on screen. Speaking about his training days, Darshan shared, "I remember one instance when Satish Ji took me to meet one of the officers at IMA. We went up to his office, and the moment the officer saw me, he sternly asked me to return to training."

"Satish Ji and I were shocked for a moment. Later, we realized it was a misunderstanding. The officer mentioned that I resembled one of the cadets so closely that he couldn't recognize me at all and was about to reprimand me. We all shared a hearty laugh thereafter."

He further added, "And this not only happened once but twice. I had a similar experience with a Lady Officer who shouted at me for not being on the ground, and she later realized that I was an actor and not a real cadet."

"I took it as a compliment and felt proud that I could embody the uniform look. I will forever be grateful for my character in Kaagaz 2."

Darshan Kumaar has consistently chosen strong, content-driven films that convey powerful messages. With 'Kaagaz 2,' The actor once again selects a story that emphasizes the importance of not obstructing others' paths to pave one's own. 'Kaagaz 2' is all set to hit the theatres on 1st of March 2024.

Meanwhile, on the work front he was last seen in the film 'Dhokha - Round D Corner' which was a suspense thriller directed by Kookie Gulati starring, R. Madhavan, Khushali Kumar and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dharmendra Sharma and Vikrant Sharma, the film released in cinemas on 23rd September 2022.

It was about a multi-perspective pacy film based on an urban couple and promises to take the audience through the whirlwind journey during a day in the life of the couple.
